Summer School
SST-Alamo is offering a summer school program required for K thru 8th grade students who need additional instruction. The four-week program, from June 4th to June 28th 2013, will focus on Reading and Math skills and concepts. No summer school for Science and Social Studies, tests will be given for the students who fail these subjects.
SST-Alamo requires the students who fail Reading and/or Math course(s); STAAR Reading and/or Math tests and eligible ESL students to attend the summer school program. The program will also include the students who are in jeopardy of failing because these students may have a “summer slide” and forget some of what they have learned during summer. The summer school will be an opportune time to intervene and to provide the extra support they need to meet new learning expectations awaiting them. We will mail letters to parents of possible failing students. Please read Summer School Parent Letter here.
The Robotics Summer Study
The Robotics Summer Study will be from June 10-21, 2013. The cost is $100 per student and is open to grade levels 3rd-8th grade. In order to be eligible, students should not be in summer school, have good grades, and behavior. Registration will close on June 5th. Robotics Study will be from 9am to 12pm.
