MUSIC EDUCATION IN SST

Music Class: All 6^th graders attend music class 1 time per week. Music is the language all can understand no matter what nationality you are. It is a personal experience for all students and they learn to listen, and appreciate the different genres of music. Students will learn where music came from and how it started, and why we are where we are today in the music industry. Students will learn about how music is used to control consumer behavior and how music is used for marketing strategies. Students will be introduced to keyboards, and/or percussion instruments, music theory and application.
